Any Tips on Raw-vegan Diet?

Keep the diet tips questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: I don’t like cooking or doing dishes much. For the last six months, I am on a mostly-fruit diet. I eat fruits for breakfast, and snacks. I have a big smoothie of fruits for lunch. But at night time I crave cooked food, and have regular food. Can anyone give me tips on some simple raw vegan recipes for night time, that doesn’t require elaborate recipes.

Any good salad or wraps thats easy to make and filling (and tasty)? Also I am considering buying a juice extractor, they seem pretty expensive, but am spending well over $100 at jamba juice every month, so may be a worthy investment? any thoughts on that?

Thanks for all answers in advance!
Thanks for all the great answers and information guys…keep them coming!

Answer: •buy frozen fruit, I do that, buy mixed bags if berries and toss that into a blender. Buy what ever else to eat at a whim.
•eat your greens! After a while of hardly eating any greens, I felt AWFUL, and was showing slight (and aggravating) signs if anemia. Leafy greens have iron in them, so have a big bowl at dinner. And 4-10 nuts a day for fat, or maybe an avocado.
•don’t go to Jamba juice too offten! They are expensive for sure (though even I admit I adore them). Google the ingredients to your favourite smoothie from the "all fruit" list they have (the majority have yogurt in them, but there is an all fruit list) and buy the ingredients yourself and make it for cheaper prices.

Don’t worry, just eat enough carb rich fruit (apples, mangos, bananas, ect) during the day and enough greens to make it easier. When going raw, you WILL have some cooked food cravings, we all do. They go away. After 2weeks (or 3) they subside lovingly.
Also, celery is great to help wash out toxins, so be sure to buy some!

Tips on How to Stick to My Diet?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I am on the special k challenge diet ( 2 meals cereal, 1 meal as usual, fruit and veggies as snacks). How can I stick to it for about 3 weeks?
Answer: Shake it up every now and then with different kinds of Special K, and look forward to dinner and snacks everyday.

Dieting really isn’t the way to go though, but it’s a better diet than most I’ve seen. Be sure to get plenty of calcium and protein, and take a multivitamin to get all of your nutrients.

Once the challenge is over, it’s best to not go back to the way you ate before, since you’ll just end up on the diet again. Keep eating fruits and veggies, breakfast, and be sure to exercise.

Diet and Exercise! Tips? Tricks?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: Hello, I am 14 years old. Female. 5′5". 145 pounds. I would really like to get healthy and lose a few pounds (maybe 15-20) I would like to know some simple and easy meal ideas (preferably stuff I could make with what I already have at home, no lamb or something weird like that)
How many meals to eat a day?
What to eat for snacks?
How much exercise? (I prefer to get it all done at once like on a treadmill instead of doing a bunch of little leg moves and whatnot)
How long until I lose about 15-20 pounds?
What do I do to stay on track? (this is a big one for me)
And any other tips and tricks ;)

I Need Some Tips on Diet Please, Answer.?

I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: As you can see, i started working out on my treatmill about 4 weeks ago, and so far i have notice that my pants no longer fit me like they used to which i find really good. But my issue is that i don’t know if what i’m eating is right. This is my diet. for breakfast, I eat wheat bread that brown breed, white cheese with really low calories, and butter with really low calories. For lunch i eat a small portion of rice, beans, meat, and vegetable. Later i eat diet cookies for snacks, because i get hungry. For dinner i eat an apple, cereal frootlops, and fat free milk. I also run and do fast walking on my treadmill for 40 minutes. My questions is, is my diet correct, because i’m not really good with diet. Also, when i will see good results, the only results i had is my legs are skenier a little bit, my stomach is flat, and the clothes i used to wear no longer fit me.
i’m 18 years old. i weight about 160 pounds, and my height is 5′10.
Answer: No that is not a good diet. Try this:
Breakfast: whole grain toast, yogurt and fat free milk
Lunch: Serving of lean meat, vegetables and brown rice
Snack: nuts and dried fruit
Dinner: The same as lunch but different types to get a variety

A big part of loosing Weight is changing your diet. If you are more of a grassier (eats all day about six small meals) that is actually proven to make you loose weight because it keeps your metabolism going all day. Also try to eat slowly because it takes your brain 20min to realize its full. So try to eat a hand full of nuts 20min before you eat a meal so you will feel full and eat less. A daily exercises routine is also a good thing! Hoped this helped
