I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: Hey , im a 5′ 2.5" girl (14 years old) and im 121 pounds. i want to lose about 5-10 pounds but everytime i try to not eat as much i end up over eating! how can i stop my hunger? also does muscle weigh more than fat? or is that a myth because im very muscular but i want to look skinnier for the summer=( please help!
Answer: Hey you should split up your meals into 5 different meals and eat VERY LIGHT (200-300 cals) for each meal. If you don’t stuff yourself, your stomach will get used to eating smaller meals and it will shrink so that you won’t have to eat soo much to be full. If you eat 5 meals a day, it will also keep your metabolism rolling. I know you’re probably busy but just try to eat the smaller meals if you have time. To get out of the habit of overeating, try running to get your mind off things. It helps clear your body out too. Just a short run each day will boost your metabolism and help burn some cals. Do eat before your run to store some carbs and a little bit of protein (whole wheat bread with peanut butter) and then after eat something also. The more you try to space out your meals, the more calories your body will ask you for therefore resulting in a binge. Make sure you eat breakfast and muscle does weigh more than fat. Although it does, I wouldn’t worry about it as you will lose more fat mass than you will gain muscle mass so your size will go down. Plus, you won’t build any big muscles unless you take whey protein so don’t worry about it. Good luck and don’t worry too much about dieting but overeating is something you should nip in the but at a young age as it can follow you as you get older (I would know)
