Question: Whats Your Diet Routine? How Did You Loose Weight? Tell Me Your Ideas & Tips. Best Answer 10 Points :D Thanks ?
Answer: Well , after I gave birth to my 2nd child ( who will be 3 on Monday :) at the age of 42 gained 25lbs and had to have a c-section , but I was in good shape prior to becoming pregnant and weight trained through out my pregnancy . I followed the same diet I’ve been doing which seems like forever . 5-6 small meals a day , consisting of 40% lean protein , 40% good carbs , 20% good fats and a gallon of water . Plus when I was released from the dr I was able to go back to weight training at 4 weeks after having my daughter . Within 2 months I was back to my pre pregnancy weight and lean :) . This is what my normal diet consists of daily give or take with the exception of a cheat meal on the weekends .

Breakfast - 1 cup of cooked oatmeal plain , 4 egg whites one yolk scrambled

Snack - protein and maybe a piece of fruit or cup of brocolli

Lunch - Whole wheat wrap with chicken , spinach , veggies , small amount of mozzarella cheese or
a spinach salad with chicken , veggies , vinegeratte dressing

Snack - Diced up chicken with salsa and plain greek yogurt ( tastes just like sour cream and has zero fat , low carbs ) or I will have 1/2 cup of cooked plain oatmeal with 1 tble of all natural peanut butter added to it .

Dinner - Chicken , fish or lean beef , brocolli , small salad

My eating habits are pretty boring lol . I eat to live not live to eat .There are days where I do not do a lot of carbs and try to rotate them around my weight training :) .

Tips on How to Loose Weight Without Dieting or Excercise?

What’s this week’s diet tips question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I am trying to loose extra flab and weight i have from the holidays, however i really dont want to diet or do anymore exercise i’m just looking for like health drinks i can have or just things i need to do before i eat a meal, for example i herd that drinking hot water and lemon helps you loose weight? I just need small tips like that:)
Answer: It’s not possible to lose weight without dieting or exercise. Unless you don’t count healthy eating as dieting. But most people do. Exercise is pretty much essential to lose weight. It will build muscle thus helping you tone up. Here is what I recommend you do:
- When you get up in the morning drink a cup of green tea
- Eat six small meals a day
- Keep active wherever you go - simple things like walking to work/school and taking stairs instead of lift
- Don’t ’snack’ unless you count it as one of your six small meals
- Drink lots of water (chilled water is best).

However without proper cardio, you won’t be losing the weight that fast.

Hope this helped and good luck.

Loose Weight Diets? Tips? Tricks?

Another diet tips question has come in this week. Let’s tackle it straight away:

Question: Loose Weight Diets? Tips? Tricks?
Answer: Ignore all the numbers sweetheart. What you need is a good ol’ fashioned workout.
Run everyday for 30 minutes. It will tone your body all over, sweat, and as you’re running, you are working every body part. Toning along the way.
Eat something small, like a carrot, or something 25-50 calories before working out, because your body will burn off the calories, then it’ll be in burning mode, so it’ll start burning fat.
If you don’t eat anything before working out, you will only burn muscle. Not so good- You’d have to start all over again.
Here’s a good tip: Burn more calories than you consume.
Say you eat 100 calories. You do something to burn more than 100 calories.
You must eat about 1000 calories a day.
I have these and they work great.

This one- Burns 1000 calories.

This one- Gets you the same results as if you were working out for 6 hours, in just 30 minutes.

They’re fun.
Hope I helped.

Diet Weight Loss Tips?

What a great diet tips question:

Question: hi there i dont really need to loose weight as im a size 8 but i want to tone around my middle i do the right exercise but am a bit stuck on healthy food i do all the fruit for lunch etc but i need to know main meals for dinner in the evening which are very low calorie any help would be great :)
Answer: After spine surgery I gained 60 plus lbs. From family being nice and giving me all the things I wanted. From the surgery I could not exercise and walking was a chore. So with spine damage and no chance at exercise I remembered what my high school coach told me.
“It calorie in and calorie burned” The way to burn weight is burn more than you take in. If you do this you will loose weight. So I counted calories and I nearly starved.
I started reading the diets out there. Atkins and south beach. Tried Atkins and lost weight. After loosing several lbs I shared the diet with friends and it worked for them as well. One fellow went from size 48 to 38 pants, stopped taking BP medication and stopped taking diabetes medication. Ate eggs and bacon for breakfast and life was good. I just had trouble holding to the diet. In time I gained the weight back. After the yo-yo dieting and radical eating soups and such, I started to do the common sense diet.
I found something that works and I plan to write a book on it. In the mean time I am will to share this much. The more your bowels work the better you will feel. Turn your diet into a high fiber diet and the more you eat the more you will loose. I find that “Total” raisin Bran will speed your digestion. So eat two or three bowel per day. Salads of fresh veggies will help as well. Yes, use dressing of some type and you need fats. Whole milk, (have documentation to prove it). And Metamucil in the mornin and after noon will help clean your bowels and keep you going. In time you will be able ot eat most any thing you like (as long as it makes you poop) and eat all you like. Things like steak with fat and good cuts of meat. Stay away from burgers and processed foods. Chicken meat and good cuts of pork are OK.
If you snack at night eat the Raisin bran and it will move you in the morning. No white bread, high grain breads are OK.
You need to eat 5 or 6 times per day. From early morning on. Eat small meals and in the am add fresh fruits.
I promise you will loose weight and in time start feeling much better. I have given this info to many people and all have lost weight,. None have had medical problems from it.

I wish you the best.

Answer: Get a copy of Atkin’s book - "New Diet Revolution" - lots of used copies on Amazon. It’s a great diet, and it will get you off those awful cherrios. Nobody should be eating that stuff - and you’ll lose weight quite well. Give it a try. This is stuff you should learn as early in life as possible - like - "what is real food".

Vegetarian Diet Tips and Exercise Please HELP!!!?

What’s this week’s diet tips question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I’m 19 and know I’m a little over weight. I’m wondering about tips for helping loose weight. I have been trying to cut down on carbs and eat smaller portions but there hasn’t been much change. Plus being vegetarian its harder to cut out carbs. Any advice on changing my diet. Also wondering what exercise I can do to help me lose weight especially around my hips, tummy and upper arms. Desperate for advice please help!
Answer: I’m vegetarian too (don’t listen to the fish oil thing, if you don’t eat fish like me!).

Anyway the thing that really helped me lose 70 pounds last year was switching what type of food I ate, not cutting down.

Whole grains are your friend. Anything made with white carbs - ditch it. Yes, this means white bread, pizza, potatoes, anything sugary (ANYTHING). You’d be surprised how much stuff has this nasty processed sugar in it. If it says corn syrup, especially high fructose corn syrup, don’t put that stuff in your mouth!

I recommend trying out the G.I. diet which basically focuses on whole grains and less processed food and is great for a vegetarian to follow. For a start, double up your vegetable portions and squeeze some of those carbs off the plate. Make sure you’re getting enough protein - it’s tough as a veggie. Try out bean dishes, tofu (it can taste nice, trust me), tempeh, soy products and eggs/milk in moderation. Omega-3 fortified eggs are especially good for us veggies. Also don’t forget to keep some healthy fats in there such as avocados (never more than 1/4 at a time), nuts and olive oil.

Spot reduction of fat is unfortunately a myth but you can work on the underlying muscles nonetheless. Core exercises such as yoga, Pilates or good ol’ crunches will help strengthen your abs. Bellydancing, burlesque, or the same core work will help around your hips. Arm exercises - use weights, there are some great workouts you can follow online with just a set of dumbbells at home, or you can join a gym and get into kettlebell and TRX workouts which I adore for their ability to make my arms look less like dough!

Cardiovascular exercise such as aerobics (legs bums and tums class!) or running is also great for helping raise your metabolic rate so you burn more calories, and just getting rid of fat all round. Look how thin marathon runners are ;-)

Ultimately the best thing is to see a personal trainer or dietician and get some real analysis of what you currently eat and where you can make changes, but I do recommend the G.I. diet for learning a bit more about good and bad sources of carb, protein and fat. I lost about 30 pounds on it last year (the other 40 were on LighterLife a programme similar to Medifast, I recommend this if you want fast results but it is NOT a healthy and sustainable way to lose weight, it also tastes disgusting whereas good healthy low-GI food tastes amazing.)
