Diet Tips to Lose Weight?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: Heya :)
could anyone please give me some idea of what kinds of foods’ i should eat if i want to lose weight? — i especially want to lose the weight around my legs, thank you (::
Answer: Different ‘experts’ give different answers to that question. However if you want to lose weight and keep it off then here are some tips.
1. Keep a diary of what you eat. You might work out you are eating a certain way and not know it.
2. Make changes slowly to your diet, say only make one change per week. Some changes will not work. That is OK, the next week make another change.
3. Avoid crash diets.
4. If you frequently feel hungry it is the fault of the diet, not you.
5. Drink plenty of water. This means water from the tap, not drinks from a can or bottle. OK to put water in the fridge and then drink it.

There is no way for you to select which areas to lose fat from.

Any Tips on Dieting….?

What’s this week’s diet tips question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: I’ve never done one before….but i’ve gained some serious unwanted weight…any suggestions on how to lose weight fast WITHOUT starving or depriving my body? Thank you for serious answers!
I do not simply have time for excersie! I work from 8-5 and go to school from 5:30-10:30 every night….any other suggestions?

LOL thank you but i do need to lose a little. I gain it in my belly and legs nowhere else.

Answer: You want tips for sticking to a diet or a diet that works? I have both, I’ll be right back with an edit so look back here in a few minutes (it might take a while to type out).
Ok here’s the diet: Basically it includes three phases: Phase 1 is, you can eat anything at all within calorie restrictions with daily excercise. Phase two is, you can eat anything gluten-free within the same calorie restrictions, with daily exercise. Phase three is, you can eat anything gluten free within both calorie and saturated fat restrictions, with daily exercise. The exercise inscreases with eat phase. You say you have no time to exercise, so just cut back on calories a little more than you would. As for tips for sticking to a diet, I’ll be right back with tips.
Here you go: get at least 7-8 hours of sleep, it’s been proven that not getting enough sleep is linked to overweight-ness because it lowers your metabolism and also your body didn’t get energy from sleeping so it’ll try to get them from calories, plus it’s harder to exercise. I recommend calorie counting, there are lots of websites out there that’ll tell you how many to eat (just google ‘daily calorie needs’) and it really helps with portion controls. Brushing your teeth and chewing gum can make your body think it’s eating, flavored lip gloss can help with sugar cravings, stay distracted from food any way you can, sitting up straight burns 10% more calories than slouching, being cold burns calories, if you take an ice cold bath your body burns 200 calories for every degree it has to raise it’s temperature, muscle mass actually burns calories. Pack extra books in your backpack/handbag/briefcase/whatever, it’s like lifting weights. Green tea and spicy foods raise your metabolism. Food with a strong flavor like pickles, mints, black chocolate, and such can take away your appetite. Fill up on anything with zero calories (so far I only know of three: pickles, celery, and mustard) before each meal, during the meal chew slowly, take small bites, and sip water between every couple of bites. And keep your self esteem high. Paint your nails, style your hair, wear a bit of make-up. Make yourself feel pretty. Believe me, a low self esteem does not help. It can help you stay on your diet, but in the long run it will not make you healthy or happy.
There are many more than that, just google them. I only wrote down what I currently remember but there are way more.

Tips on How to Lose Weight.? (Diets,Exercises,)?

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: I just got a Bowflew workout thing for christmas. And was wondering if it really works.?
Now for the real questions.:
I always go on diets because im horrible at keeping track of calories, what i should eat etc.
So when i have a diet i know what foods i can and cannot eat i tried the Atkins (however you spell it) but its just to hard im about 10 lbs. overweight…so i just need to lose that much. How long would that take?and What diet can i use because i Always cave when i dont have a list of foods i can eat so that is why i need a diet….i know crazy. Im not going on one of those Extreme diets where you just drink water for a week etc… ha
And other question if you have a website that takes me exactly to where it shows me how to use the bowflex please copy and paste.

So to refresh my questions are:
-Is the bowflex a good workout machine
-What diet can i use
-How long would it take to lose 10lbs. (if i actually put effort into it)
-Website for uses of bowflex

P.S-If i stretch everyday once a day (arms, legs,) and do situps will that help alot or barely.?
Thanks alot for all the answers!
Happy Holidays!
P.S.S im really wanting to get fit before summer!!!!!(:

Answer: This is a link to an article on getting faster results with your bowflex: http://ezinearticles.com/?Bowflex-Exercises—The-Secret-to-Getting-Faster-Results-With-Your-Bowflex-Exercises&id=1729290

Yes, it is a good machine, as long as you have the discipline to stick with it.

Some of my friends have had the best dieting results by not going on a specific diet, but just cutting out sodas.

Stretching is a good warm-up, but if you’re going for weight loss, you need some type of aerobic activity that gets your heart rate up. Even a brisk walk will do the trick.

Good luck!

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: Hi, im 14, female/ 5′3ishh about 97-102lbs it changes all the time. Is my weight okay ? cus i sounds pretty skinny but i think i dont look skinny especially my legs/thighs are so fatt-_-
i lovee food but i want to control because i tend to over eat a lot and get stressed. What kind of foods are good for you when u when you’re on a diet ? And some key weight loss tips/advices ? Also, what kind of exercises should i do ? and for thin thighs ?
thank you so much ! (:
Answer: At your age, the best thing to do is try to eat 2-4 servings of fruits and vegetables everyday. Regular exercise (as in 5 times per week) works wonders. Try 20 minutes or so of running, or 30 minutes or so of biking. You’ll be amazed how well these simple things work.

Weight Loss Tips? Motivation? Diet and Exercise Tips?

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: Well,
I’m 5′7″ and 160lbs
I know I’m overweight..I just lost 20lbs since last January, so almost a year ago! I’ve really been slacking off and I’m afraid I’m going to gain it back.
My legs are really skinny/muscular for my weight so I have a huge muffin top.
Here’s a picture, I cropped off my head, haha.
http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr52/mkate616/n524080822_1407094_323-1-1.jpg
I really need to lose the stomach fat.
It’s horrible.
Umm, oh and I have really small boobs, like they’re barely big enough for an A cup bra, so does that have anything to do with it?

Help Pleaseeee!
TIPS? MOTIVATION?BOTH?
Thanks soo much.
