Any Tips on Gym Routines Where I Can Build Mass Naturally and Diet Ideas?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: I got a few tips of my own but I want to see what else is there. Im really slim but I want to a body which is lean and defined but not bulging out and just athletic and with some mass and tone. I just need more mass. Any tips on exercises and diet and please guys keep it all natural and no supplements.
Answer: Eat, max out and rest. To build quick mass eat one gram of protein per pound of weight desired daily. So if you’re 180 and want to build to 190, take in 190g of protein daily. Max your weight out while lifting to where you can only do 5-7 reps each set, no more than 3 sets. And rest! Your muscles repair/grow while you sleep. Cut down on cardio and don’t work any part of your body more than 3 nonconsecutive days a week. Be sure to take at least one full day off per week as well. Stick with it and you’ll see nice mass growth in 5 weeks.

Best Exercises And/or Diets Tips ? ANY HELP WANTED?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Young female , trying to loss between 30-50 pounds , in no set time . I really really want to target my tummy and thy’s . Whats the best work outs to do . Or what are some good diet plans ? ? ?
Answer: Instead of a diet change, make a lifestyle change. You could try Atkins for two week, if you have the willpower for two weeks then i guarantee you’ll be able to lose all of your weight, after it just make changes to your lifestyle/diet, eat less sugar and fats,. and drink water instead of juice and pop and take out the white bread and sweets. Also establish an excersize program, and try to excersize 5 times a week for 30 minutes each night doing cardio (which is excersizing by intense activity such as running/walking, etc.). The main thing is to not lose motivation even though doing all of this may be hard. And also find some sports thats you enjoy participating in and do them.

I Need to Tips on My Diet?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: I am on a diet and need to do some exercise at home as it is winter and there is snow everywhere.
Any one got any exercises i can do at home that doesnt involve going outside or buying gym equiptment. And also has anybody got some healthy snack ideas to give me?

Many thanks :)

Answer: Here’s what I do to keep the weight I lost over the summer off: I have a couple of 20 lb dumbbells near my front window and I do a few different upper body exercises with them while I look at the snow out the window. We have 8 miles of shopping mall tunnels where I live so I can still go for long walks (I avoid all the food courts) I use the stairs all the time - even if where I’m going is on the 15th floor. I don’t do sit ups because I’ve heard they are bad for the lower back. Instead I do leg raises, both up and down and side to side. Below is a good site:
Healthy snacks: I used to make great cookies. I cut that out. I make pizza on pita bread instead of ordering it in. Better and cheaper! No chips and no booze. This is slow but I lose weight and keep it off.

Good luck

Any Good Dieting Tips?

What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Hi there,

Does anyone out there have any good, healthy diet tips? I am a student, and can’t afford anything like joining a Weight Watchers programme or expensive foods etc… I also live rather far away from a gym, which is annoying but there is no way around that.

Anyway, any diet tips? Any exercises that I could do at home? I’m looking to lose weight on my stomach and thighs in particular. I’m far from fat, but I’ve put on a little weight in recent months and I am looking to get it off…

Answer: Diet is a perfect well to lose weight. I personally believe that its what you eat that affects your body.

Here are a few tips

1. Don’t eat anything that is white. Name every single food that is white and chances are you shouldn’t be eating it: bread, pasta, crackers, most cereals, flour based products, white potatoes, white rice, and pasteurized dairy and cheese are all no-no’s during this time.

2. Only drink water, NOTHING else!

3. Don’t eat anything with the word wheat in the ingredients list. What if it’s whole wheat? Look, if the word starts with W and ends in T and has the letters h e a in between, you can’t eat it. This includes bread, pasta, crackers and cereal. Many packaged snack foods also contain wheat so be sure to read the ingredients list carefully.

Good Luck

Diet Plans or Tips for a 14 Year Old?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: ok so im aiming to lose at least 20 pounds by christmas. i already have the exercises plan and all but now i need to know what i should eat.So if any one can give me any plans on what i should and should not eat, because some one told me that i have to give up all my tasty foods but i thought that i can still have them but i just have to control how much i eat.
Answer: Snacks to stay away from include chips (even the ones that look healthy), cookies and candy bars. They pack a ton of calories and still leave you feeling hungry.
Eat Lunch
4. Make yourself a killer sandwich with whole-grain bread and lean meat such as chicken, turkey or tuna. (If you’re having tuna, go with a mix that has very little mayonnaise.) Dress it with all the vegetables you can find–lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, olives–and top it off with mustard or hummus. Another piece of fruit, some raisins or almonds, or a low-fat yogurt all make for a great dessert.

Foods to avoid at lunch, especially if you’re eating at a cafeteria, include french fries, pizza, chicken nuggets and nachos. These foods are OK once in a while, but eating them every day will make you gain weight and feel sluggish.

If you’re headed off-campus for lunch, stay away from the burger chains and opt for a sandwich shop instead.
Eat Another Snack
5. Between lunch and dinner, eat another snack, such as a bag of carrots or light popcorn. Eating small meals throughout the day is much better for you than starving yourself and eating once or twice a day. It helps your body burn calories at a healthy rate (this process is called metabolism.)
Drink Lots of Water
6. Staying hydrated is a big part of a healthy diet, especially if you play sports. But even if you don’t, you’ll find that drinking water can keep you from feeling hungry. The human body often mistakes hunger for thirst, so if you stay hydrated, some of your hunger pangs may go away. Also, drinking water regularly helps you keep your metabolism healthy.

It is possible, though, to drink too much water. A good goal is to drink so that you never feel thirsty. If you’re thirsty, you’re already dehydrated.
Stay Busy
7. Keep yourself entertained. People overeat not because they’re hungry, but because they’re bored. For teenagers, life can get pretty boring–especially after school. Playing sports not only gives you the exercise you need, it also keeps you busy. If you don’t like sports, play an instrument, join a club or find some other healthy way to engage in things that interest you.
Do Not Fear Food
8. Remember through all of this that eating does not make you fat–eating too much bad food makes you fat. Food is good for you, and it’s something you should enjoy. As long as you eat lots of fruits and vegetables, cut back on sugar, and lay off on fried foods, fatty foods, and things like cookies, pizza and chips, you’re good to go.
If You’re a Vegetarian
9. Many girls choose during their teenage years not to eat meat. It is possible to have a healthy vegetarian diet, but you need to be careful that you’re getting enough protein. Good sources of protein include eggs (especially egg whites), edamame (a cool Japanese vegetable that you pop out of pods) and tofu (which can take on the flavor of anything you cook with it.)
No Drinking
10. There are lots of reasons teenage girls should not drink–it’s illegal and can lead to a whole lot of other trouble. But if you need more motivation than that, keep this in mind: Drinking kills every diet. Alcohol is full of calories (especially the sweet drinks that many girls like), and here’s the worst part: When you drink, your body stops burning fat until it goes through all the calories from the alcohol.

Looking for a Good Diet and Exercise Routine. Any Tips?

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: Hey…I’m 12 and I’m looking into losing weight. I’ve already posted a question about weight loss but now I want to know, does anybody have a good Diet for me to stick to and a good Exercise routine? I’m not a very fit person, so any stretches, exercises I could do in my spare time at home would be handy. Its the Summer Holidays over where I live and in September, I’m going to Florida so I would like to have a body I am proud to show off!
So please tell me different ideas of stretches, exercises or weight-losing foods I can try. Thank you. :-)
Answer: Fad diets, starvation diets, fasting, and diet pills do not work. Any diet that is temporary will only produce results that are temporary at best.

Losing fat any faster than about 4 lbs a week is impossible. Any additional weight you might lose would either be water weight, or your muscle atrophying.

The only way to lose fat is a complete lifestyle change where you stop doing what made you obese in the first place and adopt healthy eating and exercise habits for the rest of your life, such as:

1. Eat about 6 small complete meals throughout the day (fish, almonds, walnuts, and lean proteins in general, plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, and complex multigrain carbohydrates) spaced out about every 2-3 hours. Consume between 1500-2500 calories a day.
2. Do NOT starve yourself, do NOT binge eat.
3. Be as active as you can; nothing to do for 10 minutes? Knock out 10 push-ups.
4. Eat some spicy foods; take a decent amount of vitamin C, and drink between a half-gallon and a whole gallon of WATER a day. Avoid anything deep-fried, white bread, sprinkles, and any refined sugar.
5. No more soda. Ever.
6. If you do drink coffee, drink it black.
7. Do at least 35 minutes of cardio straight at least once a day, at least three times a week, more if you are not trying to put on muscle.
8. Do a large amount of full body exercises whenever possible (Jumping Jacks, Pull-ups, Chin ups, dips, squats, hanging leg raises, hanging knee raises, back raises, glute ham raises, burpees)
9. Get at least 6 hours of sleep a night, but no more then 9.
10. Here is the most important part: STICK TO IT!

I Want to Lose Weight but Most of All Flatten My Stomach. Any Diet or Exercise Tips That Will Help Me Out?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: i want to lose some weight, not loads but a few pounds.
mostly i want to flatten my stomach, and lose some weight off my hips.
and i want to find out what type of exercises and foods are best to get rid of my belly and hips.
Answer: jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Question: Hello, so I’m 17 years old 5′ 6" and 144lbs. I’m apart of my school’s volleyball team and we have practice everyday for 3 1/2 hours till mid October. It’s great that I’m toning up, but I would really like to get my weight down to 135lbs. I don’t eat extremely unhealthily but I’m not on a diet either. So what should I eat in correlation with my exercises to drop some pounds? Thanks in advance!
Answer: Lower your calories to around 1700 daily, lower fat intake, increase protein.GOD-bless
