Can Anyone Share Me Some Dieting Tips?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: i’m a lil bit overweight… and I’m kinda shy to say what my exact weight is… so umm, can anyone share me some dieting tips or direct me to some information?
Answer: Avoid eating; fried foods, carbonated drinks (including diet),white bread

Instead eat: grilled or baked chicken, turkey, drink unsweetened tea, wheat bread or rolls, bran muffins, eat soup before a meal, eat small snacks between meals (like peanut butter sandwich or a small apple or a pear) DRINK LOTS of water through out the day ( try drinking two 16oz bottles in the morning & then two more in the afternoon).

Try to stay active, walk around your house or apt. & put some dance music and dance for about 30 min. every day. The idea is to burn the calories that you consume each day. If you prepare your own meals use less salt. Also, eat sugar free cookies or candy instead of regular sweets.

Has Anyone Got Any Good Dieting Tips Please?

I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: Okay so I’m not fat but I do have a bit of a belly that I’ve always hated. I suffer from low self-confidence and this is not helped by the fact that I’m not comfortable with my appearance. I did really well before I went on holiday but as soon as I came back I just fell back into old eating habits, and to be honest it’s made me feel really rubbish. I do eat a balanced diet and eat healthy foods etc.. drink 2 litres of water a day and I am a dance student, so I get plenty of exercise as well.

Just wondering if anyone has anything they could recommend if they have lost a considerable amount of weight themselves? Thank you in advance! :-)

Answer: The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc.

first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is very bad for overall health.

if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure…but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed…

btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster…you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well

What Are Some Cheap Dieting Tips for a Busy Vegetarian Woman?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I’m looking to shed a few pounds. I already work out 5-6 days a week. I do anywhere from 40-90 minutes of cardio, and I work out with weights 3-4 times a week. I’m doing well with my diet now, but once college starts again I’m not going to have as much time to prepare anything in advance.

With little money, a full day of college, a full night of homework, a husband, and a strong desire to get healthier, what can I do to maintain this and get proper, complete (and meatless) nutrition while on-the-go?

Note: I do not eat eggs, or most things that have eggs in them. I do not drink milk, but I have no problem with dairy products. I just don’t like the taste of milk.
Haha, starving does work, but it’s horrible for your metabolism, and it’s not wise for someone who works out! ;)

Dieting Tips for Cross Country Runner?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: hey I needed some advice from runners or professionals about running cross country

well I’m the heaviest girl on my team but I’m not fat I just think I need to lose a few pounds to be faster. I’m 5′8 and 136 pounds…my bmi is about 20.5 last time I checked. I’m pear shaped so my weight has always been stubborn and I’ve worked hard all summer to get to this weight now. :( I’m just scared that my bmi is too high for a running athelete, and I REALLY want to do good for my team.

Does anyone have any idea how many calories I should eat if we have 2 hour practices 5 days a week, plus school and all that other jazz. I need to know how and what I should be eating so I have energy to run track, work hard in school and still lose weight…

I need to know what my BMI should be if I’m on a cross country team. please help :( I really don’t want to be a let down for my team, as long as the diet is safe and healthy I’m willing to do whatever I have to

Answer: So I’d suggest you first work on reducing your calories. You are right you are not overweight at all but for a runner you may want to loose a little weight. Ideally at 5"8 you want to be 135. So I might suggest 125 pounds would be perfect for you. Only 11 pounds :) It should take about 4-5 weeks since your running a lot. First I say well your exercing a lot so continue to do that. Eat about 1300 calories a day and drink plenty of water and withtin 4 weeks your weight will drop significantly.
Sample Day:
B- half bagel w/ peanut butter and banana
L- salad w/ 2 hard boiled egg whites, light dressing
S- cliff bar (before practice)
D- tuna on whole wheat bread w/ lettuce & tomato, 10 carrot sticks
S- 12 cherries

Once you reach 125 slowly add more calories. And you should be eating 2500 calories a day to maintain 125 pounds.
Sample Day for that
B- cup and quarter of smart start cereal w/ 1% milk, 5 strawberries, half cup of orange juice
L- turkey and cheese in whole wheat pita w/ lettuce & tomato, carrot sticks w/ hummus dip, cluster of grapes, ritz pb crackers pkg
S- blueberry crisp cliff bar and banana
D- medium piece of baked chicken w/o skin, medium salad, light dressing, medium baked potato
S- blueberries w/ 6oz low fat vanilla yogurt and fruit & cereal bar

Good Dieting Tips Needed?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I start college in about 8 weeks and I want to lose about 10 pounds by then. Does anyone know like what I should be eating? I’m 5 ft 1 and I weigh 8 and a half stone, how many calories do I need to eat a day and what should I eat? Is it possible for me to lose this weight in this time?
Thanks x
Answer: Lots of whole foods. Don’t just cut out fat. Cut out refined carbohydrates and red meats to the extent that you can, and replace them with lean sources of protein and whole grains. Be sure to include fruits and vegetables, which fill you up but don’t fill you out.
