What Are Some Cheap Dieting Tips for a Busy Vegetarian Woman?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I’m looking to shed a few pounds. I already work out 5-6 days a week. I do anywhere from 40-90 minutes of cardio, and I work out with weights 3-4 times a week. I’m doing well with my diet now, but once college starts again I’m not going to have as much time to prepare anything in advance.

With little money, a full day of college, a full night of homework, a husband, and a strong desire to get healthier, what can I do to maintain this and get proper, complete (and meatless) nutrition while on-the-go?

Note: I do not eat eggs, or most things that have eggs in them. I do not drink milk, but I have no problem with dairy products. I just don’t like the taste of milk.
Haha, starving does work, but it’s horrible for your metabolism, and it’s not wise for someone who works out! ;)

Answer: Five words for you:

Alissa’s Raw and Living Food

I Want to Lose Weight but Most of All Flatten My Stomach. Any Diet or Exercise Tips That Will Help Me Out?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: i want to lose some weight, not loads but a few pounds.
mostly i want to flatten my stomach, and lose some weight off my hips.
and i want to find out what type of exercises and foods are best to get rid of my belly and hips.
Answer: jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Can Someone Give Me Several Tips About Jogging and Diet for Several Kilos Loss?

Keep the diet tips questions coming! I liked this one:

Question: Hello! I’m 19 years old, guy, 1.93m tall(6.33ft) and I’m skinny when I wake up and fat when I go to sleep at night. That means I have 64 kg(140 pounds) when I wake up and 73kg(160 pounds) when I go to sleep. So I wanna get rid of the annoying belly.
So is it ok if I run 4 km(2.48 miles) every night? I don’t have any health problems so please don’t avoid telling me if it’s too less. What shouldn’t I eat and what should I eat more? I must say, I NEVER eat anything after 6 PM.
@Tracy I eat about 3 slices of brown bread on every meal. I do have a pedometer. Got it today. Excellent gadget.
Thanks for the tips. I hope I’ll lose the belly by doing this. :)
Answer: HI, first. you need to make your weight stable. When you can maintain a stable weight for one week. then you have reached your balance point. This is when you need to begin to make a 500kcal defecit per day.You should aim to reduce your calorie intake by 250kcal per day and burn off 250kcals per day.If you do this you will lose 1lb per week. And keep it off. cut to skimmed milk, brown bread, sweetners, diet pop.lean meats half fat spreads, all this will help you reduce kcals.Next you need to think about portion size. You should eat 5 portions of fruit/veg at least. Up to 5 carb portions Max. 2-3 dairy portions. 2-3 protien and 2 fat/sugar portions, less if trying to lose weight.this is not a diet but the healthiest way to live.Buy a pedometer and aim to do 10000 steps per day. This is the recommended amount. by the way 1 porion of carbs is one slice of bread. do you over do bread?

Can You Give Me Some Tips for Staying Focused on Diet and Exercise?

I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: when i wake up every day, all i want to do is workout and do stuff. but at night, i have the worst cravings for food. its so bad that once i start, i cant stop. so the only way i keep on track is by eating low carb high protein meals all day. if i deviate from that at all, i lose control and end up binge eating. how can i convince myself that we dont live to eat, but eat to live???
Answer: I was the same way…2 days ago lmao. Just get obsessed with healthy food. salt is the enemy and so is sugar. Once you get used to the good food your taste buds will change and hate salt and sugar. Like today i had wendys fries and the salt burned my mouth which it usually never does it was so weird but i had to stop eating the fries and go to get a salad lol

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: ok well my diet starts tomorrow but i tryed before and i fell thought but this time im deturmand! ive got my school pron coming up in june and i would really like to lose a bit of weight please please help me with some tips! thanksss :) xxx
i ride my horse 3 times a week. ice skate once a week and teach every night after school.
Answer: Loosing weight is probally the biggest commitment you’ll face. You need to be focused and truely want it. But never actually go to the levels where you starve your self. Its mind over matter. Think with your head, and really ask your self, do i need that? And one tip, always drink water, its flushes out toxins and speeds up your metabolism.
Before you eat a good fair meal such as lunch or dinner, drink warm water. This will make you feel full and eat less, plus also allowing it easier to be digested and it will also clean out your organs and give you clearer skin.
Do excersise about 4 times a week. Even at home, work out by doing 10 sits up a day, star jumps and even stretches. Food you eat must be healthy. Try to balance out your food with lots of vegetables and avoid the processed food. Goodluck!

Answer: What foods to eat: Carbs (bread, pasta, and grains), fruits and veggies, and protein (peanut putter, meat, eggs).

Why? Carbs supply you with long term energy that will keep you going during your workouts; fruits and veggies contain a lot of great vitamins and minerals that will keep you going; protein will help keep your muscles healthy

What foods not to eat: Sugars (candy, ice cream, sweets), junk foods (potato chips, greasy foods, saturated fats), and pop, beer and drugs.

Why? Sugars are simple carbs that you will use and then your body will crash (sluggishness, tiredness, ect.); the bad chemicals and oils in them will not help your internal digestion and they make your body feel slow and unhealthy; and the last three are due mainly with reaction times (how fast you get off the block and how you recover), and your shouldn’t do them anyway if you are trying to get healthy. They will make you feel super slow.

Body hair: Normally swimmers don’t shave their heads, legs, and arms until they get to their final meet (conference, sectionals, state).

Suit: Speedos are the normal competing suits, but jammers (knee length suits) are also really popular.

Strokes: Start off with freestyle, and have a coach or trainer help you with the specifics of backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke. They are really easy to mess up and do wrong without coaching, so make sure you have help getting the technique right. Beginning swimmers normally start in free and work their way up to back, fly and breast.

A good site for stroke help is this one: http://ezinearticles.com/?Swimming—The-Four-Strokes&id=128364. Looking up the strokes on Youtube will also help you a lot too.

Good Luck!

Any Tips to Avoid Cheating on Your Diet at Parties or Get Togethers.?

Filed under: diet tips — Tags: — Ruby @ 4:28 am

What’s this week’s diet tips question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question:Any Tips to Avoid Cheating on Your Diet at Parties or Get Togethers.?
Answer:
First off, check out my diet program here: Ruby Weight loss

I have three suggestions for you that have worked for me time and time again:

1)before you go to the party, eat a sensible meal so that you don’t arrive hungry. The foods at parties are usually calorie-rich and not the best for one’s waistline.

2)When we go to parties, we seem to always have a drink in our hands. So, drink water instead of only the beverages served. Alcohol will inhibit your resolve to cut down on intake, and sugar-rich beverages are high in calories. So drink lots of water along with other beverages.

3)Finally, really enjoy the food. Appreciate how it looks. Then take small bites and savor the great flavors. Chew each bite really well and eat slowly. Gorging works against just about every good thing food can provide . . . so take it easy and really take pleasure in all that is served.

Have fun and Happy New Year!
