Tips for a Healthy Vegetarian Diet, Please?

I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: I have always been health conscious. Haven’t eaten any fast food for years, refuse to get the American cheese being as it’s just a "Pastuerized cheese product"….
Well I’ve stopped eating meat. With the exception of fish. So you could say I’m a pescatarian. But I’m getting sort of sick. I need to have my protein!
I am eating eggs, beans, fish and cheese; but are there any other things I can eat to give my the protein I need? Ooh, I also put protein powder in many things I eat, but still…
And should I start taking a daily vitamin or something? I am already very thin, just because of my genes, but of course I want to be a healthy weight and I’m a little concerned I might lost too much weight. Anything else to help with that?
Well thank you, and any other tips would be nice<3
Answer: I think you’re just getting scared because you’re not eating meat. You’re still eating fish, which has a lot of protein. Also eat vegetables, fruits, beans, and nuts/seeds. A daily vitamin wouldn’t hurt. Just try to avoid processed food. Processed food is junk.
Honestly for the past 2 years of me being vegetarian I’ve barley glanced at the nutrition label when buying my groceries, and my doctor says I’m perfectly fine. Although now I’m trying to become more conscious since I’m trying to go vegan. But it’s not as much work as you think. :)

  1. Eat a nice juicy porterhouse.

Vegetarians are depriving themselves of essential protein, vitamins and minerals. Humans are designed to eat meat.

  2. If you are still eating fish in addition to cheese, eggs and beans then you are getting enough protein.

  3. You should be getting plenty. If you are really worried, get a blood test.
