Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:
Question: im 14 years old, in 8th grade, and i seem a bit bigger than me peers. im 5 feet tall and 147 pounds. my stomach is bigger than id like it to be, and i have excess fat on my arms and legs as well. i used to be obese when i was 11 because i went through puberty early, but i lost all that weight the next year and was then 92 pounds which was a healthy weight. i started gaining weight rapidly this year though. at the start of 8th grade i was 105 pounds which was healthy, but in danger of being overweight i think, so im guessing i am a little too fat right now. i really feel bigger than i should be, and i get out of breath more easily than my friends in p.e., and walking around the school is harder for me than skinnier girls. id like to once again be slim. no supplements though please! i want to lose weight the right way
**NOTE: look, i dont want to lose weight if i am healthy. so first of all… am i overweight? second (if i am) DIET & EXERCISE tips please! none of this supplement nonsense my mom said "no way" to them. sorry if this sounds rude i dont mean to be
Answer: Well, if you feel that you’re overweight, here are some tips. For breakfast, have a smoothie. For lunch, have like a salad or something. And for dinner, something like grilled chicken or fish would do. Also, for exercise. You may want to join a sports team, like swimming. In swimming, you burn a lot of calories. And, you could join dance, where you can burn 300 calories an hour.
dont worry about it u r just a kid. u r a fine weight 2 so dont worry. but all u have 2 do is eat when u r really hungry stop when full. and exercise there is no way around it.

idk if your fat or not a pic would help, but with exercise, i recommend you to play a sport, try out soccer thats how i stay in shape, during the summer i gained like 15 pounds and lost them in like 2 or 3 months from playing soccer.

Your 14 there is no need to worry. I was chunky untill fourteen then I grew to 5,6 and got really thin. I know it sounds cliche, but you will grow out of it lol

An approximate method of seeing if you are overweight is to calculate your body mass index (BMI) but it is only approximate. Based on BMI calculations, someone 5 feet tall should weight between 95 and 128 pounds, so I guess you are a little overweight.
There are quite a few BMI calculators on the web for example see:

Try to avoid junk food, chocolate, sweets etc and get more exercise. If you don’t currently do much exercise I suggest you start off with something fairly gentle, personally I have found walking to be good for weight loss. You say that you find walking around school hard? well maybe try to do a bit more of it and it should get easier.
