Best Weight Loss Tips? Diet or Exercise or Anything?

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: thanks :)
Answer: Honestly, it takes self will and perseverance. Nothing else.
Of course exercise helps too haha. But you have to have the mind sight of how much you really want to lose the weight.

For lunches, eat grapefruit (with no added sugar) and drink water. Grapefruit diet really does work, I don’t care what anyone tells you it’s the truth. Just stay away from HEAVY calorie food such as rootbeer floats, chocolate sundaes, mcdonalds and eat less junk foods.
I wish you the luck of the world….I really hope you strive your goal, and go through with it. I did it last summer and lost 98 pounds. Make sure you have music to listen to, and running really helps.

I Want a Curvy Body for Summer.. Any Diet/exercise Tips?

I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: Like most girls i’d love to have a nice toned, curvy body ready for summer! I don’t have a bad figure atm, it’s just i would appreciate it if you guys could help give me some dieting and excersizing tips to help get that figure and maintain it? I’m 17 years old if that helps! (sounds silly but i’ve seen similar quesitons to this on yahoo answers and some people ask for age?)
thank you!
Answer: well eat lots of fruits and veg with grilled meats or quorn, cut out junk food, its simple really, however if your not trying to lose weight but just tone you dont need to change your diet.
try jogging and swimming (if you can swim) jogging will tone your legs and stomach, believe it or not and swimming will work out the whole body!
you could also do light weights, and sit ups for your arms and stomach.

Good Diet Foods and Weight Loss Tips?

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: I’m on a diet just to lose about 10-15 pounds within the next few months. I’ve been working out a little but I’m a stay-at-home mother so it’s hard to really get out of the house and go jogging frequently. Any foods/recipes or dieting tricks and tips that will help me lose some weight?

Thank you! :)

Answer: It’s tough when you have to juggle free time and the kids. Kudos to you for doing a job that many don’t realize is not easy.

Depending if you have decent financial freedom, you could invest in a stationary bike, or a treadmill. The only dieting trick I know of is to control the amount of calories you intake, and stay away from deep fried foods. Eating organic foods is always helpful. If you read food labels, you’ll notice the majority of foods on our store shelves have artificial ingredients, monosodium glutamate…all that stuff won’t help with anything that has to do with a healthy diet. I struggled with weight up until about 4 years ago. I’m 5′8, and I was 207 lbs. Within a year and a half, I was able to drop down to 160 lbs. However, I was fortunate to have the luxury of enough time to run a swim a lot. I included grapefruit in my diet, which is claimed to help a lot with weight loss. But i’m not sure if it helped, since I was exercising a lot. I was always informed that if I took any medication, I needed to check with my physician before adding grapefruit into my daily diet because it could have a negative reaction. So if you decide to try grapefruit, and you take medication, check with your doc to see if it’s okay! Good luck!

Answer: Get a copy of Atkin’s book - "New Diet Revolution" - lots of used copies on Amazon. It’s a great diet, and it will get you off those awful cherrios. Nobody should be eating that stuff - and you’ll lose weight quite well. Give it a try. This is stuff you should learn as early in life as possible - like - "what is real food".

Diet Tips for This Summer?

This week’s question is as follows:

Question: I’m looking for Summer diet tips. Lol.
I’m 30pounds overweight. So. It’d be nice to lose some of that.
Do you have any suggestions of simple things i can do?

I’ve already planned to run 2miles and walk 2miles a day.
I don’t drink pop so thats a good thing.
So.. Any suggestions?

Answer: 1.Eat about 6 small complete meals throughout the day (fish, almonds, walnuts, and lean proteins in general, plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, and complex multigrain carbohydrates) spaced out about every 2-3 hours. Consume between 1500-2500 calories a day.
2. Do NOT starve yourself, do NOT binge eat.
3. Be as active as you can; nothing to do for 10 minutes? Knock out 10 push-ups.
4. Eat some spicy foods; take a decent amount of vitamin C, and drink between a half-gallon and a whole gallon of WATER a day. Avoid anything deep-fried, white bread, sprinkles, and any refined sugar.
5. No more soda. Ever.
6. If you do drink coffee, drink it black.
7. Do at least 35 minutes of cardio straight at least once a day, at least three times a week, more if you are not trying to put on muscle.
8. Do a large amount of full body exercises whenever possible (Jumping Jacks, Pull-ups, Chin ups, dips, squats, hanging leg raises, hanging knee raises, back raises, glute ham raises, burpees)
9. Get at least 6 hours of sleep a night, but no more than 9.
10. Here is the most important part: STICK TO IT!

You can feel free to email me with any questions or comments.

Any Healthy Diet Tips for a 16 Year Old Girl for the Summer?

Well here’s a question I just had to answering straight away:

Question: I really feel like I need to lose weight especially since both my parents are overweight. I’m deathly afraid of ending up like my parents when I grow up, and I know that the eating habits I develop now will follow me in the future. This summer I’m determined to lose weight, and keep it off. Any tips on how to keep the case of the munchies down will be helpful since I’ll be spending most of my time at home now. I’m 5′5 and don’t really now how much I should weigh so information on that is needed. I’ve tried researching diet and exercise tips, but they all lead me to buy something that I don’t really know will even work. I would appreciate healthy diet and exercise tips to start off on, and I would like some foods that can help me with my anxiety and depression. I’ve heard that there are some foods that tend to trigger anxiety, so I would like to know to stay away from it as much as possible. Thank you for your time, and I will give 10 points for the best answer.
Answer: I lost over 20 lbs at 16. I was never over weight, I was 5"3, alot shorter than you so dont worry. I weighed 135 as my personal highest and 6 months later, everyone noticed. I looked like a different person. (although I was also going through many life changes and stress) which probably added on to my weight loss. I joined the local gym, no personal trainer needed, and worked my a** off. I walked to the gym and back, 1/2 a mile each way, worked out, and walked back home. After a few months of doing this DAILY, i saw results. After all that, I still work out and eat healthier. I was finally 115 lbs. Throw out alll the junk food crap in your house and stock your house w. all new, healthier, even organic food. Fruit and vegies will be your new best friend. And you can also talk to your parents about this, they’ll understand. it will be so worth it in the end, its gonna be tough, but if you stick your mind to it, youll be good :)

Loosing Weight/ Dieting Tips?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: im 17 and over the last few months since ive joined college ive put on quite a bit of weight.. Im not fat but ive lost my old petite figure:\ especially as my thighs are massive and my tummy is not so slim as before, i feel so stubby and pear shaped next to my skinny friends. The thing is i now do more exercise, i walk everywhere, go the gym and do yoga but this doesnt appear to be toning me in the right places. Any tips on slimming down your figure especially my thighs:\ which are beginning to have celluite!!! And any good realistic diet books for teenagers? that i could be buy! Anything that has worked for any of you? Sorry for the long question
Thanks! X
Thanks everyone! And are there any other causing for celuite because i actually dont each much dairy :\
Answer: Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don’t get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don’t work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That’s why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet’s are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that’s how you lose weight and keep it off for good.
For the exercise, don’t overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It’s more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun :)
