Question: I always eat junk food, anyways outside food like McDonald’s or like Wendy’s or Pizza, things like that and I really want to change my eating habits and start eating healthy with fruits and veggies but I also wanna lose some weight can you give me some good tips on how to keep away from outside food and any good things that are good home food please answer I would really appreciate it. I Need Help with My Diet , Any Tips ?

Another diet tips question has come in this week. Let’s tackle it straight away:

Question: Okay , I have been on this diet for 5 months , & It’s become successful . But I have been slacking off .
When I first started off , I was excersizing every chance I got : 30 or 50 pull ups , walking around the track 4 or 2 times , lifting weights , tread mills , & all .
But now I have reduced to : 20 pull ups , 100 weight lifting , (both arms) not walking at all , is that bad ?
My eatting habbits haven’t changed .
I used to be 200 pounds , & now I’m 183 . My goal is 130 or 140 ; (my height is 5′8) & summer vaycay is coming up . (3 months) Can I loose the weight in that short time ? Should I increase my excersizes ? I can (finally) to push ups , & I can lift myself up for 30 secounds , sometimes 50 . Can you please give me excersize tips ? & Maybe Yoga tips ? I don’t drink any sodas , expect for AMPs (energy drink) & I also smoke , Can smoking make you fat ? Hmm , Please give me a good answer .

Answer: Cardio workouts are best to lose weight! You build up a sweat and work LOTS of calories off. Weight lifting is best after losing weight though because it’s to tone and won’t help you lose weight too much. Also eat a lot of proteins rather than carbs because your body will burn off the fat faster.

Smoking probably doesn’t help. I wouldn’t suggest it. It might hurt in the long run in doing cardio workouts and breathing.

Question: I need to loss 40 lbs before my friends wedding in march 2012, i’m 5′3 155lbs and i want to be 115-120lbs. I ware size 16 pants and want to ware a size 6 before the wedding and stay that why for a long time. Need to know what diet pills are safe to take, need a list of diet pills and links also well be nice. Thank you for your help.
Answer: When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don’t eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It’s not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Any Tips on Dieting . My Problem is Self Control …?

This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: I’m short and I have a few lbs to lose , but my issue is the eating part , its just hard for me to give up soda , if soda was liquor then I’d be an alcoholic … I need some help ! I really want to shed this weight..
Answer: Buy…what’s it called….the fizzy water….ifk. But it’s water, and it has a fizzy feeling just like pop. Put 1-2 drops of food dye in it, and maybe squeeze some lemon or fruit juice, and it’s like your drinking pop but with out as much of the bad stuff!

Or, you could gradually decrease your pop intake. Like over a month. Say you drink 7 cans per week now. 1st week you start decreasing only allow yourself 5. Next week 3. Next week 2. Next week 1. And finally, give up pop all together on a weekly basis and only have it as a treat.

You could use tip #1 in conjunction with tip #1 if it’d help.

DON’T buy diet. Yeah, it has less calories, but that just means they hike up the sugar, so really, you’re not doing any better. Drinking coke zero (for example) instead of regular coke will not lead to weight loss.

Am I Fat? Diet Tips????????

Question: Hi my sister is 11 and she weighs 113. Lbs is she fat??? Her stomach sags and she has big thighs. She is about 5 "1". What are some good diet ideas??? Thnx yall
Answer: Not really fat but a little tiny bit overweight.
Drink more water(try to make it your main drink)
Eat veggies and fruits(make them your main source of calories)
Eat protein.
Work out (Atleast 1 hour a day)
Always eat breakfast and try to aim for a weight of 105lbs.

Anyone Have Good Diet Tips?

What a great diet tips question:

Question: I really want to be on a diet, but I just don’t know where to start. What kind of foods should I avoid? And what should I limit my calorie intake to? I want to loose weight so bad. Thanks so much!
Answer: The most important things you need are as follows:

First you need a plan. You need to have a clear goal of why you want to lose weight, how much weight you want to lose and when you want to have lost the weight. The wehn part needs to be realistic, however. So lets say you have something coing up ion a few months, then challenge yourself to lose say 20 pounds by August, if this event was in August. Then you need to plan out smaller goals to help you get to that such as eating healthy for a week and exercising for 5 days in a week. These small goals will make you feel great and help you get closer to your big goal. You also need to plan your days and plan your meals. Everyday have a game plan of what you will eat and at what time. Make sure to eat 6 meals a day with no more than 3 hours between each meal. Then plan out what meals making sure they are balnaced meals. You want lots of veggies and fruit, but you also want lean meats and whole wheat carbs. Once you get that, purge your kitchen of all distractions, either donate the bad food or throw it out. The stock up on good foods and get going.

For your exercise, you can also do things such as walking or running for your cardio. The point of cardio is to get your heart rate up so you want to do something that will do that for you. The jump rope is good, but jump ropes work better for circuit training when you combine cardio with strength. If you want to do circuit training, just google it and you will get tons of ideas from people like Jillian Michaels. However, one piece that was missing from all of this was strength. You need to get some weights and devote at least 2 days a week to strength training and 3 days to cardio. You should not really exceed 30 minutes for your daily exercises, especially if you do it 5 times a week. Doing more than that is counter productive. So with the weights, just go to the store and do bicep curls with a weight. If you can do 10 reps and feel tired, that is a good weight. If you do more or less than 10 reps that is a bad weight. You may also want to get an exercise ball because these things come with exercises you can do and some come with dvds showing you how to do them. These balls are great for your stomach muscles. As far as strength exercises go, there are tons of them you can do so I would suggest just looking at that up online.

Finally, set a start date for this and get to it. Stop thinking and just take the plunge. Good luck.

General Diet and Exercise Tips? ?

What’s this week’s diet tips question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Alright guys, tell me all you can. Educate me on this general topic. Good foods, bad foods what to eat when you want to lose weight, good fat burning exercises, and so on. I already know a fair bit about this stuff but it really interests me to know and I’m just looking to learn a little more.

Answer: You need will power, exercise, and a clean diet.

Start by clensing your house of food. Get rid of all your junk food and go shopping
Stock up on
-eggs
-oatmeal
-greek yogurt
-lots and lots of fruits and veggies
-low fat dairy
-almonds and other nuts .unsalted
-whole grain/wheat bread pasta..etc

Eat every 2-3 hours, 3 bigger meals, and two or three smaller snacks.

Breakfast Ideas ( Get creative and make up your own health meals )
-Egg omelet (with string cheese and pam spray ) on whole grain pita or whole grain toast or whole grain mini bagel or whole grain english muffin
-Scrambled eggs on whole wheat tortia with veggies
-Oatmeal
-Whole wheat toast,pita,etc with pb and banana
-Kashi Cereal
-Whole wheat/grain pancakes..
*Have atleast one serving of veggies or fruit at breakfast

Lunch Ideas
- Salads ( spinach salad, walnut salad, etc..) with low fat dressing
- Wraps ( lean turkey with spinach or tuna and veggies )
- Sandwich on whole wheat bread.. avoid deli meats though
*Have atleast one serving of veggies or fruit at lunch

Dinner Ideas
- atleast 3-6oz of a lean meat or fish
- atleast 2 servings of veggies
- one serving of carbs (sweet potato is great! )

Snack Ideas
- fruit or veggies ( with peanutbutter,cinnamon,or hummus)
- Greek Yogurt
- Lite popcorn
- nuts
- dried fruit
- smoothies ( homemade )
- low fat chocolate milk
- string cheese
- whole wheat crackers with cheese or hummus
- mini whole wheat pizza bagel with lowfat cheese
- mini whole wheat bagel with pb and banana

etc..

get 3-6 days of exercise for atlest 30 minutes
