Good, Easy, Exercising and Diet Tips?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of diet tips. Let’s take a look:

Question: I live in Arizona so its hot, just good ideas for late day exercising, and healthy snacks and meal ideas.
Answer: Here’s some weight-loss tips:

# Learn more about nutrition. Your local library should have some books on the subject.

# Combined healthy eating habits & regular cardio (30 mins+ 6-7 days a week), to create a calorie deficit will help to remove any excess body fat.
Weight training is benefical in strengthening your muscles, as well as increasing your metabolic rate.

# Make sure you do physical activities/exercises which you actually enjoy & can easily include into your normal routine.
If you’d rather exercise later in the day, an early evening brisk walk is a good way to relax after a hard day at work & improve your fitness at the same time.
Strength training exercises, like push-ups, squats, crunches, the plank, lunges, burpees & tricep dips, can be done at home without needing any equipment.

# Consider keeping a journal.
Recording your eating and exercising habits jolts you into realising just what you eat and drink each day; and whether you exercise sufficently. It can also identify problem foods and bad habits, prevent ‘calorie amnesia’ ,& motivate you to eat well and exercise.

# Include in your eating plan a variety of wholegrains, lean protein, fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy & healthy fats.

# Eating adequate protein & dietary fibre helps to keep any sugar/carb cravings under control.

# Oats, skim milk & sliced fruit is a healthy breakfast, which makes you feel full all morning.

# Aim to have 1/2 your dinner plate consisting of vegetables, 1/4 of complex carbohydrates (like rice, wholegrain pasta or potato) & 1/4 of lean protein.

# Don’t deprive yourself from enjoying a piece of chocolate or another not-so-healthy indulgence, otherwise you’ll end up craving it. Occasionally, include it in your meal plan, in a small portion size

# You cannot target fat-loss.
Your body decides how it distributes body fat & where it removes it., not you. And if you are a woman, like myself, thigh fat can be particulary stubborn to lose. On a positive note, having a little bit of thigh fat is not a health risk & is merely a vanity issue.

# Don’t be too focused on the scale.
Instead measure your success by how your clothes fit & how much fitter and healthier you feel. When I was losing weight, I’d use a pair of jeans to check if I was becoming slimmer.

# It can be quite challenging at first, replacing unhealthy habits with healthier ones.
Everyday wake up committed to make healthy choices throughout that particular day.
Some days you might go off track, but instead of feeling like you failed, learn from the experience and let it motivate you to make healthy choices the following day.
It may take months to achieve your long-term weight-loss goal, but the results are worth the effort :.)

# Most importantly, be prepared to commit yourself to a healthy lifestyle change for the long-term. That way, you’ll be able to maintain your slimmer & healthier body, once you have achieved it

Soy is also really good for you, and don´t mind the comments about "You will be lack in proteins¨" that’s just bullsh… Vegetables have a lot of proteins too , not as much as the meat, but still. Tofu is really cheap and yummi, if you don’t know how to cook it look for a video in youtube, it’s pretty easy

What Are Some Healthy Diet Tips.?

A diet tips question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: I am 11 years old, and 20 pounds over weight. I have never tryed diet programs and i want to know, what are some healthy diet tips for me…..
Answer: At your age you shouldn’t be dieting. You should look at your current diet of food (probably why you are overweight). It’s easy for people to spend their life eating McDonald’s, pizzas, burgers, and other fatty foods all day. They are cheap, easy to find, and tasty. The trick for you should be to trying to find ways you can avoid fatty food while actively working out (running at your age is always good, or just biking). I would recommend trying to find ways to cut down on the fatty foods you eat or the amount you eat. Instead of ordering a meat-lover’s pizza, try ordering a no-sauce, cheese pizza. No it isn’t as tasty as the first option, but will power is what is needed. Often times you’ll find that you can lose weight quite easily if you apply some self-control to your appetite. Focusing on trying to eat fruits or vegetables as a part of each meal will go a long way as these foods will fill you up but are lower in calories.

You can also try to join some sports programs at your age. When I was that age I did soccer, baseball, and football. No I wasn’t the greatest athlete, and wasn’t a starter on any of my teams, but the physical workout made a difference and kept me in relatively good health.

Anyone Have Any Good Diet Tips That Make You Lose Weight Effectively?

Filed under: diet tips — Tags: — Ruby @ 7:02 am

A diet tips question that should definitely interest you all this week

Question: Anyone Have Any Good Diet Tips That Make You Lose Weight Effectively?
Answer: Hahaha…. yeah, vegan is realistic.

Anyway. Keep a weightloss diary. Measure/weigh everything you eat and write down the number of calories. Shoot for 1200-1500 a day. It’s hard to stick with at first, but once you’ve written everything down, you eventually remember all the calories in things and if not, you can flip back a few pages.

Dont cut out any one food group. If you do, you wont stick with it and you’ll gain the weight back as soon as you start eating "normally" again. Just try to eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables. Allow yourself treats once in a while and dont be afraid to even have an entire cheat day (no more than once a week, though!)

Do cardio and proper weight training (dont worry…you wont bulk up). Even make little changes like taking the stairs at work or walking to the store/post office/etc.

Another little tip. It’s been proven that spicy food boosts metabolism and our bodies burn quite a few extra calories after eating a spicy meal. Plus, we tend to eat less food when it’s spicy. It’s not hugely important, but if you like spicy food, it’s exciting.

Diet/slim Body Tips While Doing Something?

A tough diet tips question this week. Let’s dive straight in

Question: i want to know when i am at school what would be a great tip to lose or get a slim body
like how to walk that makes u skinnier
how to sit that makes u skinnier
how to breathe or watever! i want to lose weight even when its class time or school time!!!1
Answer: Quickest way to burn fat and help you be slimmer is working with your diet and exercise. I was once very fat, truthfully say i was obese. I tried many diets and exercises to gain back my form.

BellyFatLose.net is my valuable source to get fit. You can come to it for a try.

Here are some things I learnt from it that may help you:

Don’t skip meals. Your skipping meals makes you fall into the very hunger and causes you a bad caloric deficit and then leads to slow metabolism which plays a role in storing fat.

Take smaller meals than usual. Have 5-6 meals instead of 2-3 ones as normal. This is a good way to boost your metabolism.

Little sweet is also good for your belly. You know, lots of calories are included in sweets such as cakes, cookies or candy. You need to stop your carvings for sugar also and consume whole grains as substitutes.

You are encouraged to take in more complex carbs from brown and black rice, grains, beans or carrots. You should eat lean meat, poultry, and seafood. Some others helpful for your fat burning process are grapefruit, apples, yogurt and green tea.

Before buying or consuming anything, you should read the label of the product to ensure that you are about to buy or consume food of low fat.

In terms of exerices, running and walking are good choices for you as they are easy and simple to do, and cost you no money, but they bring about extremely effective results for your fat loss.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

My Diet Plan. Improvements? Tips?

What’s this week’s diet tips question? Let’s dive straight in…

Question: Okay, so I need your help with improvements for this diet plan. I’m trying to cut off my body fat, and get it into a single digit percentage by the end of december. I weigh 154, 5′9" Male. I’m not sure what my body fat percentage is, but im guessing around 16%. I can see my top two packs, and the beginning of the second row, so yeaa. I’m not really looking to gain mass, just cut body fat for right now, until i bulk back in december. I bulked a bit in summer. Anyways, here’s my plan:

6 AM BREAKFAST: 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 banana, complete multivitamin.

9 AM 2ND MEAL: 1 piece of 4 oz chicken breast

12 PM 3RD MEAL: 1 piece of 4 oz chicken breast and 12 almonds

3 PM LUNCH: 1 tuna sandwhich which consists of 1 can of starkist tuna and whole wheat bagel. I get my complex carbs, and some more protien.

3 PM- 6 PM: Gym time, 90-110 minutes basketball, then 60-80 minutes lifting. Lifting is chest+ tricep ( Monday, wednesday, friday) And back + Bicep (Tuesday, thursday, saturday) Legs on sunday. Abs everyday, I have a whole effecent ab workout I do, Or i just do ab ripper x from p90x that day.

6:10ish PM: Protien shake, 2 scoops, 52 grams protien with half cup of skim milk.

8 PM: Plyometrics from p90x (Mondays, wednesday, friday) Core synergistics ( Tuesday, thursday, saturday) Sunday = break

9 PM DINNER: Salmon 3oz with 1 tbs of olive oil

11 PM: Sleep

Ive been doing this for about 2 weeks now and have already cut off 4 pounds fat. Plyo and CS are solely for basketball training. I plan to do this till december. And tips or improvements?
By the way, my meal plan comes out to a total of 1500ish, maybe 1550 calories.

Answer: You’re off to a great start. If you’re looking to get shredded you definitely only want 1-2 servings of carbs and you’re getting that with your bagel.

Couple tips (and keep in mind that I am not a nutrition expert but have been through P90X 4 times and P90X once so this is just my experience).

To shred fat you want to be at around a 50/30/20 ratio for protein/carb/fats.

Eat some fruit and veggies. I would eat around 4 svgs of veggies and 1-2 of fruit.

For as much exercise you are doing you definitely want to eat more. probably somewhere around 2000-2200 calories. If you don’t your body will store what little food you are giving it and turn that food to fat. Remember, the idea is that you are slowly stoking a fire adding little pieces of wood in every few hours to keep the fire (your metabolism) going.

Also, if you do ab ripper x then you should know that you don’t need to do abs everyday. It doesn’t do anything to work your abs everyday. I would do abs the opposite days of core synergistics since that is a lot of ab work as well. If you over train your muscles will not have the proper time needed to heal and repair.

Good luck

ps - I’m looking forward to basketball season too. I ref high school and college ball in Ohio. It’ll be here before you know it. Good luck this season.

Has Anyone Got Any Good Dieting Tips Please?

I just love answering these diet tips questions. Here’s another:

Question: Okay so I’m not fat but I do have a bit of a belly that I’ve always hated. I suffer from low self-confidence and this is not helped by the fact that I’m not comfortable with my appearance. I did really well before I went on holiday but as soon as I came back I just fell back into old eating habits, and to be honest it’s made me feel really rubbish. I do eat a balanced diet and eat healthy foods etc.. drink 2 litres of water a day and I am a dance student, so I get plenty of exercise as well.

Just wondering if anyone has anything they could recommend if they have lost a considerable amount of weight themselves? Thank you in advance! :-)

Answer: The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc.

first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is very bad for overall health.

if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure…but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed…

btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster…you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well

Diet Tips, Name Some Please.?

We’ve had a reader question come in on the subject of diet tips. Let’s take a look:

Question: Okay, so im 16 and i really want to lose a lot of weight before December. A gym opened down the road from me not long ago and im going to sign up.

But what are some things i can have for meals and stuff to help me lose weight, im going to be going walking alot for about 30 - 40 minutes go down the park with my pet and stuff. But im really serious about losing weight, i hate looking like this i want to be able to wear clothes i like.

Answer: what i have been doing pretty much goes against what most people do, but i have read up on it and most people call it "the warrior diet" you only eat one full meal a day, preferably at night before you go to bed. you can snack on fruit and veggies or drink coffee or tea to tide you over during the day.
it sounds crazy, i know, i was really skeptical at first but i decided to try it anyway, i started at 150 and after just one week with minimal exercise, i was at 139, and i could feel myself getting leaner, i started working out an hour every day, and the fat just seemed to melt off my body. i was amazed. at first you really have to fight the hunger but after like the first week you won’t even feel the need to eat until evening.
below is where i heard about this crazy diet
